Project Period: 9 May 2010 to 9 August 2011
Goal: To reduce
maternal, neonatal and under-five mortality in selected low-performing
districts to accelerate achievement of MDG 4 & 5.
Purpose: To demonstrate an effective and efficient model of
comprehensive MNCS service delivery through utilizing the infrastructure of
NNP.
Specific Objectives: The specific
objectives of MNCS interventions is to:

improve key care-practices at home and timely care-seeking from
appropriate providers;
-
increase access to trained service providers at community and service
delivery points and
-
increase utilization of health facilities leading to improved MNCS
status.
