B. Health, Family Planning, Maternal & Child Health (MCH) & Nutrition Program

 

B.1 Community Based Health Program

Major interventions:

Conduct household survey, create awareness on general health and MCH-FP topics, provide antenatal care and postnatal services, receive & distribute contraceptive materials, provide support to RTI/STD management, prevention & control of HIV/AIDS, supply vitamins, immunization for children, impart ORT training, arrange community level kitchen garden demonstration, establish and operate satellite and static clinics, purchase necessary medicines, provide sex education & related reproductive health education to adolescents, undertake research on qualitative health and related behaviors, create awareness on WatSan, personal hygiene practice, arsenic mitigation etc., arrange training for health staff, supply vita – ‘A’ capsule to the community children, motivate community people to keep some packets of ORS etc.

 

B.2 Expanded Health and Education Program (EHEP) Project

Major interventions:

Conduct household survey, create awareness on general health and MCH-FP topics, establish & continue relationship with Govt. Health & FP Dept., provide antenatal care & postnatal services, provide sex education including reproductive health education for adolescents, receive & distribute contraceptive materials, arrange immunization for children (less than 1 year), arrange immunization for eligible women, extending ORT training, motivate community people to keep some packets of ORS, monitor growth & BMI, demonstrate cooking & kitchen gardening, conduct courtyard meeting, arrange documentary film show, rally etc., participate in workshop, seminars, symposiums on health and nutrition arranged by the government and other organizations, establish & operate satellite clinics, create awareness of community mothers & group members on safe drinking water, personal hygiene, sanitary latrine, arsenic mitigation etc., publish communication materials, strengthen the promotional activities, arrange trainings for health staff etc.
